Step in detail

A step built through practice

A program grounded in work-study practice

The ISCOD master's program lets me compare architecture, quality, and project-leadership concepts with problems encountered at 1UP Distribution. The subjects therefore become concrete decisions: break down a requirement, identify dependencies, choose an appropriate level of testing, and prepare a reversible deployment.

Building evidence, not only validating concepts

The professional portfolio is a place to formalize this work. I document achievements, stakeholders, risks, outcomes, and limitations so that a delivered feature is distinguished from an assumption or prototype. This approach connects directly to the communication and continuous-improvement skills developed through the program.

A path toward business software architecture

The program supports my goal of becoming an experienced Odoo developer and technical lead, then expanding toward ERP integration, APIs, product decisions, and software architecture. The self-hosted business-intelligence tool I want to build provides a personal horizon for applying these lessons.

Putting concepts to the test of real work

Work-study provides a concrete counterpoint to the subjects covered: an ERP migration requires inventorying dependencies, prioritizing data risks, and organizing checks before production; a business module requires turning a rule known by teams into testable acceptance criteria. The program does not automatically turn these assignments into proven mastery: it provides frameworks to analyze them, document them, and identify what still needs strengthening, especially in leading large-scale work.

The portfolio as a discipline of precision

Building the professional portfolio extends this requirement. Each case study separates context, my role, verifiable outcomes, and limitations; links between skills, case studies, education, and experience make that reasoning navigable. I am also developing a less visible but essential skill: writing precisely, without turning an intention, an isolated metric, or a prototype into a general promise. This practice prepares both a presentation assessment and future decision-making in a team.

In perspective

The case studies that make this step concrete

The case-study pages detail the situations, decisions, and outcomes mentioned in this journey entry. The markers below provide a concise reading: they connect this step to fuller evidence without confusing an assignment, a learning outcome, and an established result.

Building a professional portfolio

Context
This portfolio was rebuilt to meet the training assessment rubric while giving recruiters a clear view of the journey and achievements.
My contribution
I handle its architecture, development, design, writing, testing, deployment, and maintenance, with human review of assisted content.
Established outcome
The site connects experience, skills, achievements, and evidence in a bilingual application with a technical blog, consent management, and assessment-oriented navigation.

Learning context

ISCOD combines remote learning with work-study experience. This format makes it possible to confront academic concepts with technical decisions made in the workplace and to document skills through verifiable achievements.

Responsibilities

What I took responsibility for

  • Connect the certification skill blocks to assignments completed in the workplace.
  • Deepen software architecture, project management, and quality practices.
  • Build and defend a portfolio of professional evidence.
